We are collecting and exchanging organic seeds from all over the world and eventually will have a big seed bank available to the local community. We also collect seeds from our garden from the vegetables we let ‘go to seed’. Members will have free access to these seeds so they can grow food in their gardens too. We also encourage people to set up ‘food is free’/community projects in their local villages. We help set these projects up with our experience/knowledge, share seeds, help with resources such as posters etc and connect them to a worldwide movement already doing this. For more information please ask us.
FOOD IS FREE CUPBOARD
The food is free cupboard is located inside our barn. It stocks various products, such as - dry food, packets and tins, baby products, pet food, feminine products and other bits and pieces. We offer whatever is available at the time. Products are donated from the local community bought with membership fees any other money that is donated. It is open weekdays between 14h and 17h. If anyone needs it out of these hours, please ask us. Initially the association is set up to help people in the local community who cannot afford the yearly membership so they can have weekly access to these products and the produce in our garden, but if any members are in need of the products in the cupboard, at any time during the year, they are welcome to take what they need at the time.
There will be two newsletters a year. You can either pick them up from us here at Jardin d’Eve or have them sent by post or email (please specify which is best for you) They will include any recent news of the association, any events organized by the association or Jardin d’Eve, the date of the annual members meeting, any inspiring stories from our local community and anything else we see as news worthy.

We aim to have a relaxed and friendly approach, this will help to gain the trust of the community so we can meet their needs more effectively. We do not encourage collecting alcohol because we do not know what problems/addictions people may have. Any food or products that we collect and hand out to members of the public, to the best of our knowledge is healthy and fit for consumption and is collected with the best of intentions. Any food or products taken by members of the public is consumed at their own risk.
This includes everyone who lives in one household.
